Better late than never (our Javapolis pictures)

I finally uploaded our photos from Javapolis 2005 and 2004….

For those of you who don’t know, Javapolis is one the biggest Java conferences in the world and probably the biggest in Europe. This year over 2100 people from 43 countries attended Javapolis. I believe that Javapolis as the accomplishment of a JUG is impressive and shows how hardworking the BeJUG members are and the great community they have created.

Here you can see the photos that we took during the five days of the conference.

You can also see our photos from Javapolis 2004 here and two videos. The first video is viagra, a demo of real time Java at the exhibition. The second is from the dependency injection BOF with Rod Johnson (Spring Framework), Juergen Hoeller (Spring Framework) and Howard Lewis Ship (Tapestry and Hivemind). The first person that appears on the video is Artemis (who shoots the video) and the last is me. I believe that this is a nice video that shows the atmosphere of a Javapolis BOF. Both videos are without sound.

BTW Cameron Purdy has some really nice videos of Javapolis 2005 and Antwerp that describe the Javapolis and Antwerp atmosphere.

Below I have our “After Javapolis” photos from Paris. For us it has become a tradition after Javapolis to visit Paris. One of the good things about Belgium is that it is at the center of Europe and you can easily travel to other countries. So the weekends before and after Javapolis the attendees can stay in Belgium or visit a nearby country like France, Germany or Netherlands.

I can’t wait for June, to go to SpringOne and for December to attend for a third time in a row the excellent Javapolis conference. A huge thanks to the BeJUG members for making Javapolis a great conference to attend.
